IL HWA GINSENG EXTRACT REGAINS MY VITALITY
In the May 1990 issue of Il Hwa Health News, I wrote about my discomfort as a
diabetic, namely, that I could not sleep well, that I had to go on a diet and
that I often experienced feeling of hunger and frequent urinating during night
time. After taking a spoonful of Il Hwa Extract twice a day for about six
months, the discomfort vanished away. My blood sugar came into a normal range,
and I felt much stronger.
Since then, I had increased my Il Hwa Ginseng Extract intake to a small
measuring spoon three times daily. Aside from diabetes, I also had asthma for
about thirty years and I had this serious attack from 1987 to 1989. I must share
this with you, that since I took Il Hwa Ginseng Extract, I have not had any
serious attack of asthma. Of course, I am still taking a very minimal
maintenance daily but this is unlike before taking Il Hwa ginseng when I used to
take a long list of medicines daily. I now enjoy my food. I practically never
have to go on a diet except for high sugar foods. More than ever, I am also
enjoying my sports, I now jog, walk regularly an hour a day and participate in a
weekly bowling tournament. I am very sure Il Hwa Extract has significantly
contributed to my regained vitality.

IL HWA GINSENG MAKES ME STRONGER
This is to share with you my wonderful experience with Il Hwa Ginseng. I began
using Ginseng Extract before Christmas of 1989. I took this extract twice a day
before breakfast and before sleeping. After a month of use, I noticed that I was
more relaxed, slept well and felt much stronger. Now, my blood sugar ranges from
140-155 kg/dl which is about 5 to 20 units lower than that which my
endocrinologist allows me to go. I am now relieved from frequent urinating at
night and very seldom experienced the frequent feeling of hunger. I am now
eating more food than before and I am now enjoying a 2-kilogram increase in my
body weight.

Toxemia: How to Avoid It & Live Life the Healthy Way
by: Joel O. Natividad
In this era of fast-food kiosks, instant noodles, SMS, mobile
banking, 24-hr convenience stores, everything is done quick and easy. There is
comfort and convenience in every corner, yet within yourself the comfort and
convenience is just too good to be true. You are annoyed of a burning sensation
in your stomach. You have a tight and stuffy feeling there inside. You normally
had to ignore it thinking it’s just a light pain and will dissipate then very
very soon. But what if it won’t? Technology has provided us the comfort and
convenience all around us. Unfortunately for us, we’re too busy enjoying all of
these around us that we tend to forget we have also the responsibility of giving
comfort and convenience to our physical body, at least, once in a while. Have
you had think about the quick and easy way of maintaining a healthy lifestyle?
Of course, there’s always the quick and easy way, and there’s also the hard way.
Toxemia usually starts simulating as heartburn or an acid indigestion. You would
sometimes feel you’re having a slight heart attack. Symptoms for both are much
the same, especially if they are accompanied by pains that spread to the chest,
neck, shoulders and arms.
Mrs. Song Buk Hsu, a famous Il Hwa Ginseng Health Specialist in the USA, always
remind her clients through this very familiar Bible verse, “The life of the
flesh is indeed in the blood.” (Lev. 17:11) Health depends upon the circulation
of pure blood.
The composition of the blood depends upon the food we eat--nothing else. If
proper food is eaten, normal blood is generated. If the blood is normal, the
liver, kidneys, heart and all organs function as they should. Under these ideal
conditions disease is practically impossible. Il Hwa ginseng products are the
only health product that can help in cleaning our blood system. Medical doctors
always tell us that it takes some three months to effectively cleanse the
bloodstream.
Ginseng, originally from Korea, is widely known as the root of life or the root
of longevity. Their benefits have been recognized by many scientists worldwide.
In Korea, ginseng is considered as a national treasure and Il Hwa has
revolutionized the technology for storage and the standards of ginsenosides at
its research institute. The precious ingredients include the highest percentage
of Germanium. Dutch researcher Dr. Schuitemaker says "Germanium replenishes
oxygen to oxygen-poor tissues, such as cancerous growths." Germanium in the
plant is what aids the Immune system. Her Il Hwa ginseng has 4,189 ppm of
germanium. This is FIVE TIMES the germanium in garlic, 10 times the germanium in
Japanese ginseng and 84 times more than barley!
Based on this fact, we can understand why this ginseng is valuable as a
cleansing agent for the blood--and thereby valuable for relieving stress to the
organs and systems of the body. Some say ulcers clear up. For others, psoriasis
or sinus problems will be affected. But, because of the lengthy circulatory
system, you must take at least three cups of the concentrate daily.
Ginseng capsules are made from the ground roots and rootlets which are mostly
cellulose fiber. Cellulose is indigestible. Capsules work, but you need to take
a lot more and they take longer to break down.
It is easy to comprehend when you recognize the fact that illness stems from
toxemia. And toxemia is why you have arthritis, bursitis, psoriasis and a myriad
of other inflammations which of course, lead to pain, and more pain.

Ginseng for Modern World
Ginseng and Stress
Manila maybe the place for good employment opportunity, but
certainly, it still doesn't free us up from stress. The high costs of a college
education, steadily rising costs of medical care-all leave their marks on our
national well-being, or lack thereof. The effects of stress on your health can
be far-reaching. Some of the conditions often associated with stress include
insomnia, high blood pressure, tension headaches, anxiety, depression, decreased
mental function, and drug or alcohol abuse. Stress is known to cause changes in
the body's chemistry, altering the balance of hormones in our systems in ways
that can lower our resistance to disease. As a result, we can become more
susceptible to flus, colds, and other types of illness. Too much stress
sometimes brings on outbreaks of cold sores or genital herpes for people who
carry these viruses in their systems. Other chronic diseases such as irritable
bowel syndrome, asthma, inflammatory bowel disease, and rheumatoid arthritis may
also flare up during times of stress.
If it's possible to avoid situations that cause you to feel tense, unhappy, or
worn down, that's obviously to your benefit. However, it isn't always possible
to live a stress-free existence. Work deadlines, family demands, relationship
problems, traffic jams, missed appointments, forgotten birthdays, personality
conflicts, college exams — all of these things, and many more, can be sources of
stress. Furthermore, though most of us associate stress with unpleasant events,
even wonderful events in our lives, like weddings, vacations, and holidays, can
be genuinely stressful.
Not everyone responds to these situations by getting "stressed out." There are
those apparently unflappable folks whose pulse rate wouldn't even go up during
an earthquake, and then there are those for whom being five minutes late
constitutes reason for a state of total panic. How you manage the stress in your
life can determine the impact it will have on you.
There are many different methods of dealing with stress. The basics for good
health that we all know (but often forget) help in coping with stress: Eating a
balanced diet and getting adequate rest help your body adapt and respond to the
events in your life. Ironically, stress can interfere with your ability to take
care of yourself in this way. When you're worrying so much you can't sleep,
getting adequate rest becomes impossible. Stress can affect your eating habits
too. So what else can you do? Exercise, meditation, and biofeedback are all
widely accepted stress management tools that might help you break out of a
stress-induced downward spiral.
For some people, stressful circumstances can trigger symptoms severe enough to
warrant seeking medical attention. Conditions that are often associated with
stress, such as insomnia, anxiety, depression, and panic attacks, are sometimes
treated with sedatives, antipsychotic drugs, or antidepressants.
In addition, physicians and scientists are now realizing a clear relationship
between stress and the appearance of such conditions as diabetes, hypoglycemia,
backache, migraine headache, cancer, arthritis, asthma and a host of other
allergies.
How Does Ginseng Help With Stress?
Ginseng has repeatedly been shown to protect the body against stress. A
researcher at the Institute of Advanced Medical Training in Sofia, Bulgaria,
Professor Petkov, has been occupied for some twenty years with elaborate
experiments to access the effects of ginseng in the body. In one experiment,
Professor Petkov subjected a group of mice to stress.
Those taking ginseng showed two basic improvements:
1) An increase in weight and function of the adrenal glands, together with less
abnormalities of behavior and distress. Those taking ginseng were in fact more
able to "absorb" stress.
2) There was an actual restriction of the long term stress response and its
harmful effects. The body had increased its resistance. When ginseng was taken,
they coped better with actual stress and the body actively settled back to
normal more rapidly.
Ginseng extract is very soothing to stress related diseases because it is very
soothing to the nervous system, without causing the drowsiness associated with
narcotic type relaxants or tranquilizers. In conclusion, one might say that this
ancient, time tested herb, ginseng, has a most useful modern application; to see
us healthfully through this most stressful time in the history of mankind.
Drinking three cups of ginseng extract daily will relieve us from
stress.

Preventative Maintenance - The Beauty & Brain Secret
Certain herbal products get quite a bit of press, mostly because of
the hype that marketing companies build around them. And then there are those
products which stand on their own two legs, they stand out because they do
exactly what they are claimed to do, and the test of time provides the spring
board for these product to continue on into the future. Ginseng is one that
definitely stands out on its own. There are many types of Ginseng, but the ones
that we primarily hear about are the Asian & Korean Panax ginsengs.
Ginseng root contains at least 29 active ingredients, some of these plant
chemicals called ginsenosides. Of them, the Rb and Rg ginsenosides are perhaps
the most significant. Rb-1 has a calming effect of the body (Yin qualities),
helping it manage stress, while Rg-1 has a stimulating effect (Yang qualities),
giving the body energy. The amounts and types of these phyto-chemicals that are
found in Ginseng depend on the type of plant and its origin.
The pharmacokinetics (the chemical makeup) of eleutheroside B (another plant
chemical) found in Siberian Ginseng shows that it accumulates in the pituitary,
adrenal glands, pancreatic nuclei and spleen over time. This type and other
types of ginseng contain contain lignans (sesamine, eleutheroside D [di-beta-D-glycoside
of syringaresinol]), Polysaccharides (eleutherane A-G & eleutheroside C
[ethyl-alpha-D-galactoside]), Triterpene saponins (eleutheroside I, K, L, and
M), Steroid glycosides (eleutheroside A [glycoside of daucosterol]),
Hydroxycoumarins (isofraxidin), Phenylacrylic acid derivatives (eleutheroside B
[glycoside of syringin]), Minerals (Ca, P, K, Mg, Na, Al, Ba, Fe, Sr, B, Cu, Zn,
Mn, and Cr). All of the above have a significant impact on your over all total
wellness. They have the ability to help maintain the function of the organs in
the body that help to keep us healthy! That is why scientists have classified
this herb as an adaptogen; it helps the body to 'adapt' to situations that would
otherwise drain it of its strength and vitality.
Il Hwa Korean Ginseng products give the body the ability to deal with stress,
and the associated physiological reactions that tend to make the body over
compensate (adrenal burn out) and breakdown over time. What the body does is; in
an 'alarming' situation is the adrenal glands release corticosteroids and
adrenaline, which prepares the organism (the body) for the fight or flight
reaction. When these hormones are depleted, the organism reaches an exhaustive
phase. Ginseng in general delays the exhaustive phase and allows a more
economical and efficient release of these hormones. Ginseng has also been shown
to have a significant effect on the immune system, there by preventing the
manifestation of certain types of genetic deformations that can occur in the
breasts, oral cavity, stomach and skin.
So, to help us maintain 'the course' in our lives, we have to do a little
preventative maintenance for ourselves. And taking Ginseng will help us maintain
our health during the periods of our lives when we need it most. This product is
a 'must have' in the arsenal to maintain health!

- Ginseng increases physical endurance under stress.

Ginseng Beats Coffee...
|
Caffeine (Coffee, Tea, Cola) |
Ginseng (The Herb of Life) |
| 1. Catabolic: Caffeine is catabolic. It builds energy in the body but at a heavy price. This is a destructive process that involves the breakdown of nutrients stored in the body. In the long run it can wear you out. | 1. Anabolic: Ginseng is anabolic. It builds energy in the body at the same time increasing health and vitality. This is a constructive process which breaks down food into natural sugars which can easily be used by the body’s cells. |
| 2. Nerves: Regular caffeine use can produce anxiety. The symptoms of many coffee drinkers are the same as those of people under continual stress. Irritability, agitation, nervousness, rapid breathing, trembling hands and muscle twitches can all be the result of too much coffee. | 2. Anti-Stress: Regular Ginseng use has been found to help build a resistance to stress. Ginseng can help to relieve the typically overburdened adrenal glands and release the nervous system from tension. |
| 3. Mental Dullness: Missing the morning cup of coffee can bring on the typical reaction of dullness and languor. Caffeine generally removes the awareness by draining nerve energy and causing a crashing energy lag. | 3. Brighter Minds: Much hopeful research is demonstrating ginseng’s ability to stimulate mental clarity, accuracy and awareness. Results have been included fewer errors at work, better grades in school, and a general increase in optimism and activity. |
| 4. Kidney Irritation: Why does your cup of coffee make you have to go to the bathroom? Prolonged use can agitate the kidneys and lead to kidney damage. Caffeine also contributes to the buildup of toxins in the blood. | 4. Boon to Health: The natural benefit of many herbs, especially ginseng, is their ability to help cleanse the blood. The normal function of the kidneys is also to filter the blood. Because of air, water and food pollution, your kidneys can use all the help they can get. |
| 5. Ulcers: Drinking coffee causes irritation to the stomach lining and can contribute by degrees to the destructive pain of gastric ulcers. | 5. Healing Herb: Ginseng has been shown to aid in the healing process. Traditionally used as an aid to digestion, it can help restore broken body cells. |
| 6. Heart Disease: Rising blood pressure, higher nervous tension, irregular heartbeat and the increase in the blood cholesterol all spell out serious trouble for your heart. All these are stimulated by the regular use of caffeine. One study showed a double incidence of coronary heart attacks among people drinking five coups of coffee a day. | 6. Heart Help: Scientist have found that ginseng can both help lower blood pressure in people suffering from high blood pressure and increase it for those with low blood pressure. Using ginseng regularly can ease tension and the resulting strain on the heart. Your heart is bound to be happier for it. |
| 7. Diabetes and Hypoglycemia: These are both serious and common diseases caused by an inability of the body’s natural mechanism to regulate sugar in the blood. Coffee can increase the level of blood sugar in diabetes and lower it in hypoglycemia. This is exactly what is unwanted and can invite a blood sugar crisis. | 7. Sugar Control: Using ginseng has been found helpful for both diabetics and those suffering from hypoglycemia for its ability to help regulate sugar levels in the blood. Thus ginseng works to restore harmony and balance of good health. |
