Il Hwa Ginseng Effective for Diabetes
Many people
are suffering from Diabetes Mellitus, a disorder of carbohydrate metabolism.
This disease is characterized by excess glucose (blood sugar) in the blood and
the urine (hyperglycemia). Commonly this disease is treated by following a
consistent dietary program and the giving of regular injections of insulin or
one of the "hypoglycemic agents" oral insulin substitutes. Insulin is a hormone
used to correct this imbalance of the blood sugar level in the body.
Pharmacological investigations at the C.A. Meyer Drug Research Center in West
Germany in 1959 by Dr. W. Petkov indicated that regular use of ginseng prevented
hyperglycemia. Research showed that ginseng enhanced the insulin effect on
alloxan-induced hyperglycemia.
Also, research in Japan by Dr. M. Kimura and J. Suzuki, reported at the
Symposium at Wakan Yaku in 1981 stated that DPG 3-2, a non-saponin component of
Korean ginseng lowered the blood glucose level in patients by stimulating the
release of insulin.
To study the effects of ginseng on diabetes, Jo et al administered ginseng to 32
diabetic patients (11 of them with mild symptoms and 21 of them with moderate
symptoms) at a dose of 4.5 g/day for the first 4 weeks and 3 g/day for the
following weeks.
The level of blood glucose and lipid content in 11 patients with slight
disorders returned to normal; thirty percent of the 21 patients with moderate
disorders showed a decrease in the body glucose level. In addition, improvement
in subjective symptoms was observed.
Combined treatment with Insulin and ginseng reduced insulin requirement
administration of ginseng alone also reduced the insulin requirement from 7:09.0
units to 3:0-4.0 units in 6 of the 11 subjects with light symptoms. Urine
samples also revealed no abnormalities.
Several Il Hwa Ginseng customers over the years have confided to our health
consultants their gratitude to our products effectiveness in treating their
hyperglycemia. We at Il Hwa Health News do not advice our readers with diabetes
to use our product in place of their prescribed medical treatment. However, Il
Hwa Korean Ginseng is effective as a supplement and is even known as a natural
stabilizer for mild cases of sugar imbalance and other similar health problems.
If you require a low-sugar diet then you should use Il Hwa Korean Ginseng
Extract, 100% pure.
Testimony
I TRIED IT AND IT WORKS
Sometime in 1987, a lady representative of "Ginseng" products covering the
supermarket in Merville, Paranaque approached me and introduced the so-called
"Il Hwa Ginseng Extract." She explained the benefits of how the product can help
the human body. Hearing some advantages, I thought of giving it a try and bought
a bottle. The following morning, I started drinking "Il Hwa Ginseng Extract"
before breakfast. After three weeks of religiously using the said product, I
felt much better and had a stronger resistance. Now I can play sixteen (16)
straight games of my favorite sport duckpin bowling without feeling any joint
pains unlike before when I can only play eight (8) games at the most and getting
tired too easily.

Drink and Drive: A Ginseng-Up Story
by Edwin Caturan
Don’t drink when driving... Don’t drink when driving... Don’t drink when driving...
No matter how many times you've heard it, there are people who just don't get it. In fact, almost everyday, in TV and in newspapers, you can see and read drinking-and-driving related incidents. Almost everyday! Last year alone over one million people were injured in drinking-and-driving related traffic crashes.
Il Hwa Health News and I want to tell everyone, kids, parents
and all licensed drivers why no one should drive a car, or ride in a car with
someone who drinks before driving. It just doesn't make sense. Even to a dummy.
But I know one person who drinks and drives. Yup, he's changing the rule - this
guy drinks before driving. And, mind you, he was driving non-stop from Manila to
Baguio, at that.
Last July, Dr. Venus Agustin was on a business trip to Baguio City to visit the newly opened Herbal Health City, distributor of Il Hwa Korean Ginseng in the area. As sales consultant, I am obliged to be with the visit. Capas in Tarlac and Urdaneta in Pangasinan are known to have monstrous traffic in the daytime, so we agreed to travel on night time, which will be faster, less exhaustive, cool, and more relaxing.
dodong flores, master lensman and tech guy (yes, he is this good ol' webmaster and Sportwatch columnist), has the authority behind the wheel. Baguio City, by the way, is 250 kilometers from Manila via Marcos Highway, a little longer than Kennon Road, and a bit shorter than Naguilian Road. Anyhow, dodong flores, smart as always, decided to be going through Marcos Highway, as it is safer compared to Kennon Road. But the next question then, how safe is he going to drive? This man had been very busy criss-crossing Metro Manila roads during the daytime, and had not gotten much sleep for the last 24 hours. He knew at that point that he needed something to boost his energy. That's why before we departed, I stressed that we should drop by to a nearest 24-hour convenience store for a few bottles of energy drinks. But instead, he insisted of going back to our office to get a few bottles of Ginseng-Up. I was then puzzled why he preferred Ginseng-Up over other popularized energy drinks. Perhaps patronizing our own product is a good reason. But what is it in Ginseng-Up that is not found in other energy drinks?
Generally, energy drinks claim to have effects like,
increasing physical performance, mental alertness, reducing stress, stimulates
metabolism, enhance blood circulation, detoxify harmful substances, strengthens
the heart and many more.
Most energy drinks, be in liquid or powder form usually composed of Taurine,
Glucuronolactone, Caffeine, Vitamins, Carbohydrates and Inositol. Taurine is an
amino acid believed to be good for the brain, heart and the central nervous
system. Other claimed benefits include detoxification, as antioxidant, enhancing
one’s mental and physical performance, and aiding fat and mineral absorption.
We can take energy drinks at all times especially when we feel tired or exhausted. Energy drinks can be taken by anyone who wishes to excel at a high level of routine performance and for a longer period of time. Energy drinks gained popularity to athletes who wanted to regain lost energy. Likewise, students who want to keep high level of concentration and study comfortably for longer hours take energy drinks as enhancer. Thus, making energy drink an all time favorite also to persons who stay out at night and want to feel fit for a longer time, like clubbers, drivers, and graveyard shifters.
Energy drinks become popular nowadays due to hectic schedule people use to have and a more exhaustive lives that go with the trend of 24-hour call centers. Especially if one’s schedule falls on a graveyard shift.
With energy levels continually waning, it is difficult to keep the momentum and ward-off the growing fatigue. As most people left no option on whether or not to accept these unholy schedules, it becomes a necessity to resort to something that gives temporary relief and boost one’s energy to go through each day. Thus, energy drinks become an increasingly popular choice for both health conscious and health clueless people.
Ginseng-Up is the first and the only ginseng-based energy drink throughout the world. To differentiate it from conventional energy drink, Ginseng-Up provides all the benefits offered by “New Age Wellness and Health” energy drink. Made from 100% all natural ingredients, Ginseng-Up is considered to be the safest among today’s energy drinks. Contrary to popular energy drinks, Ginseng-Up is non-alcoholic, non-addictive, and caffeine -free, because of these, it’s sparkling sophisticated taste appeals to everyone, aside from the assurance of zero side effects. Substantially lower in carbohydrates and sugar in comparison to regular soda, Ginseng-Up is therefore lower in calories while providing valuable nutrition. Consumers are looking for beverages that can replace traditional softdrinks laden with high levels of sugar and other artificical sweeteners such as aspartame and other sugar derivatives present to popular energy drinks.
The most potent and best quality ginseng in the world is found in Korea. Over a thousand years ago, Korean people were the first to cultivate ginseng as they realized its value and importance to health. Korea and other Far Eastern countries have used ginseng for centuries for medical purposes and to enhance general health and vitality.
Ginseng-Up’s core component is only ginseng and nothing else. For many years, in the Philippines and around the world, ginseng’s exceptional qualities and health benefits are widely known and accepted. There’s no risk at taking Ginseng-Up as compared to other energy drinks. It is therefore no doubt that Ginseng-Up would soon become the favorite of those busy people young and old alike. This rings true to dodong flores as Ginseng-Up becomes a thing he can’t live without especially when driving. That’s the reason why to him it’s best to drink when and while driving.

Il Hwa Health News has regained its popularity since its
revival in the second quarter of this year. Yours truly had been receiving
numerous e-mails virtually from all over the Philippines and all across the
globe. Some e-mails came as far as Bhutan, Greece, and Belgium. For those who
didn't receive my reply up until this time, rest assured you will receive it the
soonest time possible. Just keep on reading my column as some of your queries
must have been tackled in here. For those who frequent the web, you can also
visit http://newsletter.ilhwaphilippines.info. By the way, last October
25, dodong flores received an overseas call from Mr. Joey Bagaporo, a friend and
elder brother in Christ, who made comment about my column in the previous issue.
He was reading the online version of this Health News September issue and
disliked my definition of Ginseng as a root. He stressed that Ginseng is a
perennial plant and the root is just a part and the most important. He is
correct in his assertion, and would like to clarify that my idea still parallels
with his. It was only that I was referring to a harvested product, which is the
root, and not the raw plant, when I coined that “Ginseng is a root that is being
used in the Far East to combat weakness...” Thank you very much for your
patronage and Maligayang Pasko at Manigong Bagong Taon po sa ating lahat! God
Bless us all...

by: Ryann Tupas
Il
Hwa Ginseng-Up bearing the slogan “gising ka sa lakas” became one of the
sponsors of the much talked about and loved Close-Up to Fame search which had
its final night in Ultra on Sept 17, 2005. The event was the culmination of the
search for the next face of close-up model whose selection ran for months before
coming up with the final wannabes...
It was not an ordinary day for the production staff, performers, and guests alike of the event. Most of them were rushing here and there and looked haggard for days of preparation in order to come up with excellent production for the view of the millions of fans nationwide. To keep them going from that strenuous activity, Il Hwa Philippines supplied free Ginseng-Up drink to all the working staff, prompting Il Hwa Ginseng booth to be flanked with various celebrities enjoying the pleasure of taking ginseng as they unleashed the pressures and quenched their thirst.
Popular artists like Luke Mijares, Wency Cornejo, and the much adored star-in-a-million contenders were some of the admired personalities that savored the good taste of Ginseng-Up.
Il Hwa ginseng-up is a natural energy drink which recently
gained popularity and worldwide acceptance. It delivers the true spirit and
power of ginseng, and contains 18 nutrients including various vitamins,
essential amino acids, honey as well as ginseng extract. Moreover, it does not
contain preservatives, caffeine or artificial flavor like any other enery
boosters.
To the organizers and celebrities of the event, that night became fantastic with
spirit-filled performances and numbers so powerfully charged. After the finale
most celebrities especially those who have taken ginseng-up expressed gestures
of thanks to Il Hwa because of the energy they got from ginseng. They all
appreciated ginseng-up because of the “kakaibang lakas” they had all throughout.
From then on, they most become Ginseng-Up fanatics.
Kudos to Close Up to Fame winners!
